A sealed ceramic GEM-based neutron detector

The GEM-based neutron detector has flourished in the past decade. However almost all detectors work flow-gas mode, and long-term performances of may be unstable due to dynamic changes atmospheric pressure ambient temperature. In this paper, a sealed ceramic was developed at China Spallation Neutron Source (CSNS) its sensitive area 100 mm * mm. characterizations were presented discussed, which included plateau curve, beam profile, wavelength spectrum, spatial resolution (FWHM: 2.77 mm), two-dimensional (2D) imaging ability, detection efficiency counting rate instability (Relative Standard Deviation (RSD): 0.7%). results show that good it can used for measurement direct CSNS.
